I created this way back in 1992 -- and it remains one of my favourites. Gothic was completed as part of a class project where we were instructed to choose an architectural style, adorn the image with a suitable motif, and then complete the piece with lettering that was appropriate to the architectural period.

The medium is pen & ink, and the style is pointillism -- although you can't quite see it from this scan. I'll try to get a "close-up" onto the site asap.
